Oregon is epicenter as Trump protests surge across nation

Another night of nationwide protests against Donald Trump's election came to a head in Portland, where thousands marched and some smashed store windows, lit firecrackers and sparked a dumpster blaze. Police termed the protest a riot and used "less lethal munitions" to help clear the streets. Some 4,000 protesters surged into the downtown area late Thursday night with chants like "we reject the president-elect!"

A Frost Advisory remain in effect through 8am for southern TN. Patchy frost is possible elsewhere will temperatures well into the 30s. Plenty of sunshine will start your Friday, so a quick warm up is expected. You may still want to consider a jacket for the Downtown Huntsville Veterans Day Parade, starting at 11am. Temperatures will be in the 60s, with highs around 70° this afternoon. Cloud cover will increase later today ahead of another dry cold front.
