FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Sunny skies and warm temperatures for Friday

The updated drought monitor this week shows no improvement, with many areas of the Shoals now in the extreme drought category. There are no signs of any improvement for next week with no rain through at least the end of next week. A burn ban remains in place for the area.

A sunny sky and quickly warming temperatures are on tap Friday. Highs will climb into the low 80s. It will be a great night for high school football games with clear skies, calm winds, and comfortable temperatures.
