(WAFF) - The millions of votes that have been cast already in the U.S. presidential election point to an advantage for Hillary Clinton in critical battleground states, as well as signs of strength in traditionally Republican territory.

Charges against Tyre Pickett, a University of North Alabama student arrested for rape, have been dismissed pending review by a grand jury. Pickett has been released from the Lauderdale County Detention Center according to District Attorney Chris Connolly. The investigation into the alleged rape is still under investigation.
