Huntsville City Schools releasing app to track school buses

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville City Schools is using a new app that will let you track your child's school bus.

The school system has partnered with Durham Bus Tracker to give you real-time visibility of bus locations and route information.

The app is free and launching Monday. To download it, type in Durham Bus Tracker in your app store.

School officials say this new app is a good tool to keep parents in the loop.

"With road construction and a lot of other variables that there are things that may cause some kind of a delay and this gives them some immediate feedback," said Keith Ward with Huntsville City Schools.

School officials say you can expect log-in instructions in the next few days.
