LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

An Athens teenager is facing arson and criminal mischief charges for two unrelated burning incidents.

Limestone County deputies say Trace Austin Bradford, 18, set fire to a house on Holly Lane on Sept. 17. Deputies say the house was reportedly being turned into a hunting camp for the winter.

Bradford is also accused of setting fire to 95 hay bales, two truck tires and a tarp on Persimmon Tree Road in Anderson, Alabama on Oct. 3. The property had an estimated value of $4,400.

According to court records, the victim suspects Bradford has stolen from him before. He said Bradford returned to steal a backhoe battery that day, but the victim ha removed it. He said he believes Bradford  "set the hay on fire out of spite," according to the report.

Bradford is in the Limestone County Jail on a $7,500 bond.
