Samsung stops production on Galaxy Note 7

(WAFF) -

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the company is telling you to cut your phone off and take it back. This comes after the company faced serious backlash after numerous reports of several phone batteries exploding.

After several battery exploding reports, Samsung pulled the plug on Tuesday, stopping all production of the phone permanently. Experts at Smartphone Medics in Madison say if your phone has any issues, you need to act fast.

"Turn them off immediately and take them back where they got it from," said Jeff Sandridge, owner of Smartphone Medics.

Sandridge said you have a cracked screen and feel your device is getting hot at times then bring it into a shop so they can check it out.

"It's definitely pretty serious," said Sandridge.

As Samsung urges users to get different models, experts say this problem is far from over.

"They're making the batteries thinner and thinner, and that's basically what can cause the problems, especially if there is any damage to the device," said Sandridge.
