BOAZ, AL (WAFF) -

Boaz police are searching for a man who escaped from the community corrections program and led police on two chases in the last two days.

They're looking for 33-year-old Kenny Junior Sparks of Boaz. He's now wanted for receiving stolen property, attempting to elude and criminal mischief.

Police say he led officers on a chase Monday and then again Tuesday morning, but ditched his vehicle in Etowah County.

Police say Sparks is well known to them and advise people to not leave keys in their cars.

“He's stolen several cars in the past, and every time he steals a car, it's because someone left their keys in the ignition and they just make it too easy for him,” said Boaz Deputy Chief Josh Gaskin.

If anyone has any information on Sparks' whereabouts, you're asked to contact the Boaz Police Department.
