Runoff election results across north Alabama

NORTH ALABAMA (WAFF) -

There are several runoff elections taking place today throughout the north Alabama area.

Citizens in many cities and small towns took to the polls beginning at 7 a.m. to vote again and make a final decision on candidates in the 2016 municipal elections.

Here is a list the runoff elections happening on Tuesday: 

FRANKLIN

  • Red Bay Mayor: Charlene Fancher - 498 (51%); Mike Shewbart - 484 (49%)
  • Russellville Council District 2: William Nale - 142 (52%); Judy Miller - 130 (48%)
  • Russellville Council District 4: Arthur Eliot - 124 (66%); Lanny Hubbard -  65 (34%)

COLBERT

  • Littleville Mayor: Scott Howard - 128 (55%);  Gene Strait - 103 (45%)
  • Tuscumbia Town Council District 3: Dave Couch -59 (48%) and William Foster - 63 (52%)
  • Tuscumbia Town Council District 4: Richard Coates - 84 (49%) and Scott Smart 87 (51%) 

LAUDERDALE

  • Florence MayorSteve Holt - 2,788 (54%) ; Mickey Haddock - 2,384 (46%)
  • Florence City Council District 1: Kaytrina Simmons - 341 (54%); Dave Smith - 295 (46%)

LAWRENCE

  • Moulton Mayor: Roger Weatherwax - 441 (57%); Ray Alexander - 331 (43%)
  • North Courtland: Ronald Jones - 150 (49%);Riely Evans - 156 (51%)

MORGAN

  • Decatur Mayor: Tab Bowling - 5,563 (73%) and Don Kyle - (1,882 (25%)
  • Decatur Council District 2: Kristi Huskey - 958 (58%) and Jake Reed 685 - (42%)
  • Hartselle Council Place 5: Matthew Broom 619 - (56%); Daniel Crowe - 492 (44%)

MADISON

  • Huntsville City Council District 1: Devyn Keith - 2,519 (69%) and Richard Showers - 1,146 (31%)
  • Madison Council District 1: James Ross - 96 (42%) and Maura Wroblewski - 132 (58%)
  • Madison Council District 7: John Seifert - 516 (66%) and Lena Sledge - 264 (34%)
  • New Hope Council Place 4: Wade Grider - 93 (39%) and Roger Walling - 147 (61%)

DEKALB

  • Rainsville Council Place 1: Marshall Stiefel - 416 (53%); Joey Graham - 367 (47%)
  • Fort Payne Council at Large: Brian Baine - 1,730 (18%), Lynn Locklear Brewer - 1,307 (13%), Tim Dobson - 380 (4%), Johnny Eberhart 1,199 - (12%), Windy Freeman - 287 (3%), Wade Hill - 1,363 (14%), Roger Ingle - 874 (9%), Freddy Johnson - 421 (4%), and Gerald Taylor - 1,239 (13%)

JACKSON

  • Scottsboro Mayor: William Shelton - 1,908 (54%) ; Brent Miller - 1,601 (46%)
  • Scottsboro Board of Education Place 2: Patricia Steward - 1,716 (50%) and Mitzie Gattis - 1,694 (50%)
  • Scottsboro Board of Education Place 3:Jason Williams - 1,904 (56%); Daryl Eustace - 1,516 (44%)

MARSHALL

  • Boaz Mayor: David Dyar - 1,447 (66%); Tim Walker - 732 (34%)
  • Boaz City Place 2: Jeff Davis - 1,119 (51%) and Rodney Frix - 1,083 (49%)
  • Boaz City Place 4: Jeff Sims - (1,110 (52%) and Heath Wilson - 1,039 (48%)

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
