RFCU making changes to branding following recent scam alert

Redstone Federal Credit Union announced that it will be getting a new updated look to its branding. The change comes, in part, after a recent credit card scam targeting its customers and surrounding banks through text messaging. 

Redstone officials responded to the scam and told customers that changes to their logo and branding on their website were in the works. The changes are set to start on Monday, October 3.

Officials say the new look features bolder colors, a modern design and the new promise, "We brighten our members' lives!"

They are expecting the change to do just that.

“This is an exciting time for Redstone Federal Credit Union and its members, said Joseph Newberry, president and CEO of Redstone. “On a daily basis, we provide trusted advice, choices, opportunities, and solutions so we can add value and ultimately help our members achieve their financial dreams. Together, with this fresh, new look, we take the credit union into the future."

The new logo will be red and gold to replace the previous blue and white one, a look that has been around for 65 years, according to Redstone officials.

The credit union is the largest member-owned financial institution in Alabama and Tennessee and serves nearly 388,000 members.
