2 charged in west Huntsville gas station robbery

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police have charged two suspects in connection to a robbery at the Kangaroo gas station at 540 Jordan Ln.

Police say two men wearing masks robbed the store at gunpoint shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday. Investigators say they took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Witnesses say they saw the suspects get into a car in the area of Jack Colemen Drive, according to police.

A matching vehicle was pulled over shortly after near Holmes Avenue and Triana Boulevard. Police say three people inside were detained for questioning. Police say they found the stolen money in the vehicle as well as the masks and gun used in the robbery.

Dimari Thomas, 22, and Kristopher Williams, 24, were charged with robbery and taken to the Madison County Jail.
