HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A blog post detailed a shiny new development planned for west Huntsville, and then like that, it was gone.

But where did it go? And is the plan still moving forward?

Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate, the company who posted the blog says they spoke too soon about "The Oasis" and that the announcement was a mistake.

They released a statement Thursday that said, in part:

"This release was published prior to receiving the proper approvals from all parties involved with the project. Since that time, we have discussed the matter with all parties involved and have now reinstated the original blog post. This is an exciting proposed development for Huntsville, and we are proud to be involved with helping to bring it to life."

That's all the information they're sharing at this time. WAFF also reached out to the City of Huntsville and they said they've met with those behind the Oasis project. Those involved said they are in talks, and as of right now, they don't have anything to bring forward to the city council just yet.
