ALABAMA (WAFF) -

Hibachi Express in Decatur scored an 81 in July. Then, in August, the Morgan County Health Department returned for a reinspection and handed them an 83. This time, they scored an 80, making Hibachi Express a Kitchen Cops Low Performer for the third straight inspection.

Hot food needs to be held at a minimum of 135 degrees to prevent bacterial growth. The inspector reports chicken was 21 to 28 degrees under the required temperature. The inspector also reports finding several employee drinks on active food prep tables.

The Limestone County Health Department handed El Azteca Restaurant Y Taqueria in Athens an 82. The inspector reports finding flies in the walk-in cooler. The inspector also took off points because beef stored in a cooler was reportedly seven degrees above the 41-degree temperature required for cold-holding food.

The Hardee's in Albertville improved over the 70 they scored last month with a reinspection score of 83. However, it takes an 85 to get off of the health department's reinspection schedule and off of the Low Performers list. The inspector reports pans that had been washed still had residue. Another violation was cited because, according to the inspector, a plastic pan with a rough surface because it had melted should have been tossed out, but was still being used.

The Domino's in Athens scored an 84. The inspector reports they were using cracked plastic bins, which can cause cross contamination. Domino's also lost points because dirty dishes were stored with clean dishes.

The Brindlee Mountain Food Mart in Union Grove scored a 74. The Marshall County Health Department reports corn dogs were held below the 135-degree temperature needed to prevent bacterial growth in hot food, and raw hamburger was 11 degrees over the 41-degree requirement for cold food.

Store 'N Deli in Florence scored an 84.  The Lauderdale County Health Department reports finding an open employee drink stashed in a reach-in cooler.

The Quik Stop in the 400-block of South Court Street in Florence scored an 83. The inspector reports a worker put on gloves without washing their hands, then touched ready to eat food.

There are four Kitchen Cops High Performers this week. Chupper Time in Huntsville scored a perfect 100. The deli at the Publix Super Market on Pelham Drive in Huntsville scored a 99.  The Our Little Kitchen mobile food unit Athens also scored a 99, as did The
Victorian Tea Room/The Wild Lilly Restaurant, which is a single business in Muscle Shoals.
