HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Exercising with an adorable pet, what could be better? This Healthy Huntsville walk pairs pooches with people!

The Healthy Huntsville team is offering another opportunity to log miles in the Mayor’s 100 Mile – 100 Day Walking Challenge at the Botanical Garden “Fidos After 5” weekly event.

Parks & Recreation and Animal Services are partnering with Huntsville Botanical Garden to host a one-mile dog-friendly walk on Thursday, September 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Walkers may bring their dogs for a round of exercise, or host one of the Shelter’s adoptable pets. They’ll keep walkers in step and maybe find a loving new home.

The Botanical Garden is waiving its admission fee for those participating in the walk.

The 100-Mile 100-Day Walking Challenge runs through December 1. For more information on the fitness challenge, or to register for prizes or click here
