Florence attorney pleads guilty to sexual misconduct

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence attorney Don Tipper has pleaded guilty to a charge sexual misconduct.

Tipper, 65, was accused of forcibly raping and sodomizing a 28-year-old female client in 2011. He was originally indicted on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy in February 2016.

His plea to the lesser charge will mean two years of supervised probation in a Lauderdale County Community Corrections program. He will not have to register as a sex offender.
