HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Governor Robert Bentley on Tuesday joined HDT Expeditionary Systems executives, the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County, Mayor Tommy Battle and other elected officials to make an economic development announcement.

A spokesperson confirmed that they are in the process of "transitioning" a facility in Virginia to one in Huntsville.

The transition will bring 120 new jobs to the Huntsville/Tanner facility that already employs 80.

The Tanner-based company creates everything from robotics to military vehicles.

HDT currently manufactures the DRASH or Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter, a mobile, quick-erect shelter used by the military and emergency responders.
