DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police Department Organized Crimes Unit members made four arrests Friday as they try to cut down on street narcotics in the city.

OCU members launched an investigation after receiving an inquiry into illegal drug sales made by residents Cedric McCoy, Christie McCoy, Christie Gibson, Gregory Watkins and Randy Griffin.

During the investigation, police found quantities of crack cocaine and marijuana were being sold by the defendants.

Police arrested the suspects and McCoy, Gibson and Griffin were charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance each with bail set at $10,000. Watkins faces one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance with bail set at $5,000.

Police said McCoy was on community corrections at the time and may face having his status revoked by his probation officer.

All were taken to the Decatur Jail and later transported to the Morgan County Jail.
