Suspect identified in Madison bank robbery

MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Madison police have identified the suspect in Friday afternoon's bank robbery.

Police are searching for Jose Guadalupe Pena, 18, of Huntsville. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Any information on his whereabouts should be directed to the Madison Police Department Investigative Division at 256-772-6274.

Police say Pena  robbery Eva Bank at 3810 Sullivan St. Officer responded to the call shortly after 3 p.m.

Officers say the suspect entered the bank with a handgun. He kept it in his waistband and never pointed it at anyone, according to police.

He got away with an unknown amount of cash. It's not known if he fled on foot or in a vehicle.

No one was injured.

Pena was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 130 pounds, and was wearing a red, white, and blue shirt, blue jeans and a black military-style "boonie" cap.
