(WAFF) - With the tear gas faded and the mass of humanity finally off the streets of uptown Charlotte on Thursday morning, city and law enforcement officials are surveying the damage after a second night of furious protests over the Keith Lamont Scott case.

Expect lane closures on Memorial Parkway

The Alabama Department of Transportation says motorists should expect single-lane closures in both directions on South Memorial Parkway between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, and Friday, Sept. 23.

Tuscaloosa PD investigating deadly triple shooting

Police are expected to release more information about a triple shooting in Tuscaloosa that left one person dead. Officers responded to Creekwood Village Apartments around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, according to Lt. Kip Hart.

Highs will push into the low-to-mid 90s

Skies are mainly clear this morning, and we're starting this first day of fall comfortably. In most spots, we are a couple degrees warmer than yesterday morning, but that's still the mid-60s. Look for another quick warm-up with afternoon temps feeling more like the first day of summer than the first day of fall.
