Morning Headlines: First parole hearing scheduled for Jeffrey Franklin on Tuesday

First parole hearing scheduled for Jeffrey Franklin on Tuesday

A Huntsville man convicted of the gruesome murders of his parents back in 1998 is up for parole for the first time on Tuesday. Jeffrey Franklin has served 15 years of his life sentence following his 2001 conviction.

 Limestone bridge repair slowed by rare snails? Taxpayers on the hook

The presence of three endangered snail species in Limestone Creek may have delayed replacement of a flood-damaged bridge and inflated the cost. 

Temps into the lower 90s with low humidity

Temperatures are comfortable this morning!  Although, I’m sure you’ve already guessed they won’t stay like this for very long. We’re in the low/mid-60s for the most part, but a quick warm-up can be expected. We’ll see sunny skies this morning and we should be into the lower 90s for a high this afternoon.

    Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
