Authorities probe ties between blasts, devices in two states

Authorities questioned several people early Monday after car stop in Brooklyn as they worked to determine if there is a connection between an explosion that rocked a bustling New York City neighborhood, an unexploded pressure-cooker device found blocks away, an earlier pipe bomb blast at a New Jersey shore town or explosive devices found across the state near a train station.

Minnesota mall stabbing could be realization of terror fears

Authorities are investigating the stabbings of nine people at a Minnesota mall as a potential act of terrorism - a finding that would realize long-held fears of an attack in the immigrant-rich state that has struggled to stop the recruiting of its young men by groups including the Islamic State.

Dense fog possible in some areas for Monday morning

Isolated showers and storms remain possible for a few more hours this morning. Areas of patchy dense fog are also possible where we had heavy rain on Sunday. Both the showers and fog should dissipate this morning, and won’t hang on past 8-10 a.m. Although we’re starting the day with a fair amount of low cloud cover, those clouds should diminish heading into the afternoon.
