AUBURN, AL (WAFF) -

The Auburn Tigers are 2-8 in their last ten games against the SEC West. Under Gus Malzahn, Auburn hasn't beaten Texas A&M at home.

The program would like to see that change Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium as they welcome in the Aggies for an early SEC divisional matchup.

The Tigers defense has been really good in their games with Clemson and Arkansas State this season. They will need to be even better this week with an Aggies offense that can score from anywhere on the field.

Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele understands the challenge.

“They're a big what we call RPO team, run-pass option,” Steele said Thursday.  “So they'll give a play action fake, and have routes on one side, and a screen on another. And so you gotta be able to execute, to the right, to the left, and to the middle.”
