Kitchen Cops: 4 low performers

For the second straight week, a Dairy Queen in Morgan County is a Kitchen Cops Low Performer. This time, it's the DQ on Beltline Road in Decatur.

The health department handed them an 83. The health inspector reports they were using cracked pans and cracked ice buckets, which can lead to cross contamination. The health department also cited the DQ because some personal drinks were where personal drinks aren't supposed to be.

La Constenita in Boaz is this week's lowest scoring Kitchen Cops Low Performer with a 77. The Marshall County Health Department reports a cooler wan running warm holding food at 55 degrees. That's 14 degrees above the temperature needed to keep bacteria from growing.

Zaragoza's Mexican Restaurant in Decatur posted an 84.The inspector reports there too many flies in the building. The health department also reports that there was mold in the ice machine.

Steak 'N Shake in Decatur scored an 84. Hot food needs to be at least 135 degrees and cold food needs to be at most 41 degrees to prevent bacterial growth. he inspector reports chicken and hot dogs met neither requirement at 70 degrees, square in the middle of the food danger zone. They also lost points because an employee's water bottle was in a food prep table.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
