Car wreck causes early morning power outage 

Police are looking for a man who ran away after slamming into a power pole in Huntsville. The wreck happened around 2:30 on Wednesday morning on Lakeview Drive.

Troopers: 'Armed, dangerous' inmate overpowered jail staff in escape from Greene Co. Jail

The Greene County Sheriff says that inmate Eric Washington has escaped the county jail in Eutaw Tuesday night. He is described as a black male, 5' 11", 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes and a tear drop tattoo underneath his right eye. 

Isolated showers possible for Wednesday

We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today. There should be more sunshine this morning closer to I-65 with more cloud cover closer to the MS and GA state lines. Rain showers continue to dissipate across east-central AL with steady rain also ongoing well to our west.
