Georgi Bragg

Georgi, a native of Guntersville, has never wanted to do anything but report TV news. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and English at theUniversity of Mississippi, Georgi landed her first job reporting at WDAM in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She then got an opportunity to come home where she reported weeknights for WAAY 31 News. Shortly after getting married, Georgi decided night-side reporting was not “conducive” to being a newlywed, thus the decision to change her career path.
For the past year, Georgi has worked at The National Children’s Advocacy Center as the agency’s Special Event’s Coordinator. But when the opportunity at WAFF became available, she jumped at the opportunity to get back into the business! As the station's Saturday Morning Anchor, Georgi says she enjoys digging into those stories that help people the most.
In her spare time, Georgi enjoys reading, decorating, spending time with her friends and family and, believe it or not, quail hunting with her husband and their German Short Haired Pointer, named Spike. She is a member of Huntsville ’s Junior League and The Tri Delta Alumni Association, volunteering her time with the NCAC and Huntsville ’s Downtown Rescue Mission’s SAPP Shelter for Women.
