Man plans Lawrence County unity rally

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Lawrence County man said the violence and anger he's seen on TV moved him to unify his community. That's why, this weekend, he is inviting people to join the Saints on the Square rally.

K.C. Orr said his saying for the event is: profess, not protest. The "Saints on the Square" event happens at the old Lawrence County Courthouse
in Moulton this Sunday.

Orr, a Speake Elementary School teacher, said he wants people who may not normally talk with each other to come together.

"The children of our God are really just hearing the cry of our nation," said Orr. "We need to step up. We as a church suffer when we stay inside of the building. When we just work on the inside and try to make our congregation bigger. We have to get out in the street."

The Saints on the Square unity rally starts at 6:00pm on Sunday at the old Lawrence County Courthouse on Court Street in Moulton.
