Fifty representatives from the state of Alabama are in Cleveland, Ohio attending the convention, including lawmakers from here in north Alabama.
Alabama state representative Ed Henry said security is everywhere, and with both pro-Trump and anti-Trump protesters outside the Quicken Loans Arena, it's been relatively calm so far.

Henry said the petition for at a roll call vote this morning on the convention floor would have been a waste of time, and delayed the convention by four hours. Henry said the vote would have done nothing to change Donald Trump's chances at landing the nomination. Henry says that he feels a sense of unity among everyone at the delegation, that he doesn't feel division among the party, and Donald Trump will be the Republican Nominee.

“From what I can tell even the Cruz campaign is coming around, and from our delegation, there's no division,” said Henry.
Henry adds that he believes the anti-trump protests will die down as the convention rolls on, and it will be a peaceful and progressive convention.
