Employee dies in factory accident

FAYETTEVILLE, TN (WAFF) -

A person is dead after suffering an on-the-job injury at Goodman Manufacturing in Fayetteville. 

The Tennessee plant builds components for air conditioning and heating systems. A statement released by the company says the employee sustained fatal injuries on Saturday night. The release does not detail how the accident happened. 

The plant, which is owned by Daikin Industries, is set to close once a new facility in Houston is operational.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
