Facebook recently changed the way posts appear in user's News Feeds. The updated algorithm is geared to focus on posts from your friends and family members. While this is a good thing, it also means you'll be seeing less updates from WAFF 48.

The good news is there's a quick way to get our updates while they happen to continue to be alerted first to breaking news and weather.

1. Make Sure You've 'Liked' Our Page

If you haven't already, head on over to Facebook and give our page a "like!"

2. Change Your News Feed Preferences

From your computer, go to our Facebook page. Hover over the "Like" button and set your preferences to "See First." This will allow our updates to appear in your news feed as they happen. This is critical when it comes to being alerted about breaking weather conditions that could impact you and your family. You can also access these preferences from your phone on the Facebook app. From our page, tap the "Following" button and then select "See First."

3. Download Our First Alert News and Weather Apps

While connecting with us on Facebook is the best way to get updates on social media, our mobile apps are designed to help you stay informed on the go. Be notified of breaking news and weather conditions with our free apps. Check out all of the useful features and download today.
