HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Symara and her family moved to Huntsville about a year ago.

The six-year-old makes excellent grades and has made lots of friends in the short time she has been in Alabama.

Her mother described her as very adventurous, inquisitive and talkative and a bit of a tomboy.

"I like Shakalaka. I have been here a long long time," she said.

She also doesn't have a shy bone in her body. As the oldest child, Symara's mom says she can be a little bossy and protective.

"My brother is one years old. My sister is three years old," Symara told us.

She said her mom is expecting another baby soon and she is very excited to be a big sister.

" I love babies so much," she said.

Symara  is very active. She loves swimming, being outdoors playing Frisbee, going to the park or the Boys and Girls Club.

Symara either wants to be a police officer, doctor, or a soldier when she grows up. Could you be the mentor she needs to get her there?

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
