Cities across North Alabama will celebrate the 4th of July with festivals and fireworks. Click and read below for a look at a few major firework shows across our area. 

Smith Lake - Cullman
4th of July starts early in Cullman county. Smith Lake will hold its celebration on Saturday, July 2nd. Vendors and food will be on site starting at 9:00 a.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 p.m.

Heritage Park - Cullman
Gates open at 5:00p.m. on Monday night at Heritage Park in Cullman. Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m.

Spirit of America Park Festival - Decatur
The weekend festival in Point Mallard Park continues on Monday with fireworks set for 9:45 p.m. 

Space & Rocket Center - Huntsville
The Space and Rocket Center will host its own fireworks show at 9:00 p.m. While the center will be open during the day, gates will close at 5:00p.m. Since you cannot watch from inside the center, you are asked to watch the fireworks from a nearby vantage point. 

Dublin Park - Madison
A celebration at Dublin Park in Madison will be fun for the family. Children and adults can enjoy games and activities including an obstacle course and water slide. There will also be musical entertainment from Jonathan Wyndham. The event starts 2 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

4th of July Concert - Providence
The concert with feature the U.S. Army Concert Band will start at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks after sundown.

Shoals Spirit of Freedom Celebration - Florence
Florence will hold its 4th of July celebration at McFarland Park. Live music, food and vendors will be setup starting at 3:00p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:00p.m.

Guntersville Fireworks Celebration - Guntersville
The city of Guntersville will put on a show Monday night outside Civitan Park. The fireworks start at 9:00p.m. You are not allowed to park or stop on the River Bridge. 

Athens Firework Show - Athens
A show above the Athens High School stadium will be filled with fireworks after sundown. There is no seating in the stadium. Parking is adjacent to the businesses along Highway 31. 

Potato Festival - Sand Mountain
Celebrate local heritage at this festival full of live music, arts, entertainment, games and potatoes! Event starts at 10 a.m. with a beautiful fireworks display later that night. Location in downtown Henagar Town Park.

Annual Independence Day Celebration - Fort Payne
Fort Payne will host its annual celebration at the Sports Complex. Each person will receive a flag at the gathering. At dusk the crowd will enjoy a concert with local talent and a fireworks display that night.
