FIRST ALERT: Brits leave EU, dangerous heat today watch now

(WAFF) - Britain voted to leave the European Union after a bitterly divisive referendum campaign, toppling the government Friday, sending global markets plunging and shattering the stability of a project in continental unity designed half a century ago to prevent World War III.

Redstone Arsenal celebrates 75th anniversary during Armed Forces Celebration Week

Friday is the kick off of a very big week of celebration and commemoration at Redstone Arsenal, as the base turns 75 years old. There are several events planned for the week of celebration.

David: Heat index expected to be around 105 degrees

Areas north of the Tennessee River and to the east of I-65 stand the best chance of seeing rain Friday morning. These storms have also been quite active from a lightning stand point. By mid-morning Friday, we should be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will warm up quickly and we continue our First Alert for heat index values around 105 degrees as well as a round of potentially strong storms this afternoon.
