(WAFF) - We are continuing to learn more about what was happening before and during the shooting rampage that killed 49 people at an Orlando nightclub. Good morning. This is Trent Butler letting you know what we're covering for you on this Friday morning. The FBI is reporting that the Orlando gunman texted his wife during the shootings to see if she had seen the news. At one point, she texted him back saying she loved him. Also, a Florida gun store owner contacted the FBI weeks before the deadly shootings after the Orlando gunman tried to buy body armor and a lot of ammunition.

Here in the Tennessee Valley, this morning, two people are in jail after trying to kidnap a teenage girl in a Madison County neighborhood.
And one of them was free on bond from a murder charge at the time. Deputies say the suspect broke into an ex-girlfriend's home and tried to drag her out.
We'll tell you how the girl's uncle quickly jumped into action, trying to save his 18-year-old niece. The suspects didn't get far before they let the teen go and were eventually arrested.

Athens Police were able to use a car's GPS system to track down a suspected sexual predator who tried to lure a 12-year-old girl from Etowah County. 
Now, Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson is speaking out about how parents need to honest with their kids about the dangers of going online.
