Congressman responds to Lawrence/Morgan county water danger

The West Morgan-East Lawrence water authority is advising customers to not drink water from its system until potentially dangerous chemicals can be removed. It's a process that will take at least three months to fix. 

Congressman Robert Aderholt issued this response:

This situation is serious and demands the full attention of state, local and federal governmental agencies. At this time there are more questions than answers. The most immediate and pressing issue is to make sure this situation is resolved and that people in these impacted areas have access to safe drinking water.  I have already reached out to the Governor to let him know that we stand ready to help facilitate action between state, local and federal officials.
