FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Low humidity with temperatures in the mid-80s

(WAFF) - Skies are mainly clear this morning, and we're starting the day on a cool note. We're several degrees below average this morning with most in the low-to-mid 50s. Although you may need a light jacket for an hour or two, temperatures will warm quickly today.

We should be up to around 80° by lunch time with highs into the mid-80s this afternoon. Winds should be out of the north at 5-10 mph keeping the humidity low. Skies will be mainly clear tonight, and temperatures should drop quickly as the sun sets.

We should be into the 60s by 8-10p with lows falling into the upper 50s for Tuesday morning. Winds will switch to more of a southerly direction for Tuesday.  That will lead to a warmer afternoon and an increase in humidity.

Highs will push into the upper 80s. We'll stay dry on Tuesday, but there will be a chance for an isolated shower/storm each afternoon for the rest of the week.  Lows will be warmer with the higher humidity. We should stay in the mid-60s for Wednesday morning.

Highs will be close to 90° through the end of the week. Although the humidity will be higher, we won't quite be up to summertime levels of oppressiveness just yet.

Still, pop-up storms could develop any afternoon, but the chance of rain for any one spot, in particular, will be low.  Expect the summer-like weather pattern to continue into the holiday weekend.
