Chemicals in drinking water affect thousands of AL customers

The EPA is releasing a warning for more than 25,000 people in the Tennessee Valley saying that your drinking water contains harmful chemicals and there may not be a quick fix to the problem. But this may have more to do with new regulations than the quality of the water.

Wreckage from missing EgyptAir jet found

An Egyptian army spokesman's statement says Egyptian planes and ships found debris and luggage from the missing EgyptAir flight 804. The debris was found in the eastern Mediterranean, north of Alexandria, Egypt. The plane disappeared from the radar Thursday while carrying 66 passengers and crew from Paris to Cairo.

Widespread showers throughout Friday

Skies are cloudy this morning, and temperatures are generally in the mid 60s. A cluster of strong storms is ongoing across south AL this morning.  Those storms should block some of the moisture along the Gulf coast from making it this far north. That should help limit the intensity of any rain across the Valley this morning.
