FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Isolated showers possible with highs in the upper 70s

(WAFF) -

Temperatures are a  few degrees warmer this morning compared to yesterday. Most of you are starting the day dry and in the mid 60s. We’ll see a fair amount of cloud cover through the day, and an isolated shower is possible from time to time.

Given the low rain chance, there will be many that remain dry. Winds should be out of the north around 5-10 mph through the day leading to a cooler afternoon. Highs should top out in the upper 70s, which is slightly below average for this time of year.

Look for mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows dipping to near 60° on Thursday morning. Thursday’s weather brings more of the same – mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers. Highs should be a few degrees warmer, though, pushing back into the 80s.

Skies will become cloudy overnight as more widespread rain heads towards the Valley. Showers should begin overnight, and a steady rain can be expected through much of Friday. That rain could be heavy at times with many picking up 1-2” through Saturday morning.

Highs Friday should be limited to the mid 70s. Any lingering showers should end early Saturday with mostly cloudy skies continuing into the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s with the 80s set to return on Sunday along with mostly sunny skies. Look for warmer and drier weather as we head into next week.
