(WAFF) - We'll see a fair amount of cloud cover today, and it won't be quite as warm as it was on Sunday. Most are still in the low-to-mid 60s this morning. Winds will be out of the south today at 5-10 mph.
We should warm into the upper 70s by lunchtime with highs into the lower 80s this afternoon. Most of the area will remain dry, but a few showers are possible over northwestern AL today.
Skies will stay mostly cloudy into tonight as lows hold in the mid 60s. Scattered showers could develop overnight and the threat for an isolated storm will continue on Tuesday.
Although our weather will be unsettled through the middle of the week, we shouldn't see much in the way of heavy, sustained rain. Instead, occasional showers/storms will be possible, but there will be plenty of time spent dry each day.
Skies will stay mostly cloudy. Highs should be into the mid 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will approach Thursday and that looks to be the day with the highest chance for more widespread rain.
Even then, totals look to be less than half an inch and the severe threat appears low. By Friday morning, any rain will exit and skies will become mostly sunny through the day.
