Mariota, Titans make stops in North Alabama

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - Tennessee Titans fans mark their respective calendars yearly for the Titans Caravan. This year, fans got the chance to meet quarterback Marcus Mariota, safety and Alabama native Rashad Johnson, and specialist Ryan Succop.

The Titans made stops in Florence and Decatur.

Johnson, a native of Sulligent, Alabama and Alabama Crimson Tide alum, was happy to come back to the Yellowhammer state Wednesday.

"You feel like you're back at home. Alabama's a great place. I was blessed to grow up in the state, and go to the greatest university in the country," said Johnson.

For Mariota, his second season in the NFL hopes to be a vast improvement from a season ago. The signal caller has lofty goals for the franchise as well.

"We want to win the division," Mariota said. "We have to find that mentality that will help us be successful. I think that's being built, I think it's building the culture and we've got to take it one day at a time."

The Titans open the regular season September 11 against the Minnesota Vikings at Nissan Stadium.
