FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Isolated storms possible with temperatures into mid/upper 70s

(WAFF) -

Clouds will be increasing today with rain and storms more likely as we head into the afternoon. This morning we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds and an isolated shower is possible. Temperatures are in the mid 50s to lower 60s.

We should warm into the mid/upper 70s for highs by the early afternoon with southwest winds around 5-10 mph. Rain and storms will become more widespread after the lunch hour and continue into this evening.

Rain could be heavy at times and some storms may be strong with gusty winds and small hail. Storms should diminish in coverage this evening with rain showers tapering off overnight. Lows will dip into the upper 50s with mostly cloudy skies.

We’ll see a fair amount of cloud cover on Tuesday with only a stray rain shower possible in the morning. Highs will stay in the low-to-mid 70s with a northwest wind near 10 mph. Skies should clear overnight and lows will fall to around 50° for Wednesday morning.

Skies will be mostly sunny Wednesday with highs into the mid 70s. Clouds should increase late in the day as a reinforcing shot of cool air arrives. A few sprinkles can’t be ruled out overnight, but we shouldn’t see any widespread, heavy rain.

Skies will be clearing on Thursday, and highs will be limited to near 70.  We’ll be back to jacket weather for Friday morning as lows bottom out in the mid 40s.  Look for plenty of afternoon sunshine Friday and Saturday. Highs should be in the mid 70s to finish the work week with readings near 80° over the weekend.
