HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Nightly lane closures on I-565 will last throughout the summer. The work will be for pile stabilization at the I-565 bridge and service road bridges at Limestone Creek, between Mooresville Road at Exit 2 and Greenbrier Road at Exit 3 in Limestone County.

Motorists should expect road closures of each lane of 565 and both service roads on Sunday and Thursday nights continuing through the summer.

If weather permits, the outside eastbound lane will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting April 24, as Carter's Contracting Service begins work to increase the bridge piles stability. The project is expected to be $482,067.

The closure area is about one-tenth of a mile in length.

Contractors will work under bridges by day, but daytime lane closures are not expected.
