TUSCALOOSA, AL (WAFF) - After the tenth A-Day game for Nick Saban, the quarterback derby will continue into the summer. Cooper Bateman, David Cornwell, Blake Barnett, and Jalen Hurts all had time to showcase their skills in front of the Crimson Tide faithful.
For Nick Saban, the white team, led by Jalen Hurts did some positive things on the football field.
"The white team's offense moved the ball way more effectively," Saban said during his postgame press conference. "Damien Harris had a really nice day. Looked good and explosive, and the young quarterbacks made some nice plays. So, I thought the consistency that they played with was a lot better than the first team. So, it creates more competition and more things for us to evaluate."
Jalen Hurts went 11-15 for 120 yards, and made the only touchdown of the game; Blake Barnett went 9-16 for 112 yards in the contest; Cooper Bateman went 9-24 for 86 yards and one interception; David Cornwell went 5-13 for 50 yards.
Nick Saban said he will meet with every player Monday and Tuesday for evaluation, as the team heads into the summer.
