(WAFF) - We'll see a mix of sun and clouds this morning with more sun over northeastern AL. Clouds should be thicker west of I-65 with steady rain ongoing across northern MS. The heaviest rain today should stay outside of north AL and southern TN that being said, isolated showers are possible.
The best chances for rain would be closer to the MS border. Temperatures are in the mid 50s this morning, and should warm to near 70° for a high this afternoon. Winds will be out of the southeast at 10-15 mph.
Any rain showers should diminish this evening, and we'll see partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows should fall to around 50° to begin your Saturday. There may be some morning cloud cover Saturday, but skies should become mostly sunny heading into the afternoon.
It will be a few degrees warmer compared to today with highs in the low/mid 70s. Lows will dip into the 40s under mainly clear skies Saturday night. Look for plenty of sunshine Sunday afternoon with highs into the upper 70s.
Mostly sunny skies should continue for the start of the new work week. We should stay dry early in the week with highs close to 80. A slow moving storm system should head into the Valley towards the end of next week.
