Military recovers 9 of 12 Marines killed in Hawaii crash

(WAFF) - The U.S. Marine Corps says it has recovered the remains of nine of the 12 Marines killed when two helicopters crashed during nighttime training off Hawaii. One of the missing Marines was Capt. Steven Torbert who was from the Shoals area.

ALEA: Helicopter flight to fetch Bentley's wallet cost over $1K

Governor Bentley denied requesting a state helicopter to deliver his wallet. He answered questions from reporters Thursday in Montgomery about getting his wallet delivered from Tuscaloosa to Fort Morgan. The governor admits asking for the help in 2014 but he says he didn't request a helicopter to bring him his wallet.

Possible isolated rain showers with temperatures nearing 70°

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds this morning with more sun over northeastern AL. Clouds should be thicker west of I-65 with steady rain ongoing across northern MS. The heaviest rain today should stay outside of north AL and southern TN that being said, isolated showers are possible.
