3 juveniles face breaking and entering charges

MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Three juveniles are facing breaking and entering charges after Madison police say they caught them trying to break into a vehicle earlier on Monday, April 11. 

Early Monday morning, Madison police responded to the area of the Oxford Subdivision on County Line Road, regarding a vehicle being broken into.

Police say a witness saw someone inside their vehicle and called authorities. Officers quickly located and detained the suspect, who was in possession of a loaded firearm.

Officers continued to check the area and found two more suspects hiding in a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Huntsville. Officers learned that all three offenders are juveniles. 

During the investigation, Madison police learned that the three suspects were also responsible for the theft of a motor vehicle that occurred in Madison on April 1. Police say the suspects were also involved in a number of unlawful breaking and entering to automobiles, thefts of property and two residential burglaries that occurred from mid-February to April 1 2016. 

The suspects are also facing these additional charges:

  • 17 counts of unlawful breaking and entering an automobile 
  • 11 counts of theft of property 
  • 1 count of receiving stolen property 
  • 1 count of theft of property (theft of a motor vehicle) 
  • 2 counts of burglary
