(WAFF) - Clouds will be increasing across the Valley into this afternoon. There will be periods of time with more sunshine this morning, but skies should become overcast through the day. Temperatures are closer to 40° over northeastern AL with readings in the upper 40s farther west.
Winds will be out of the southeast today at 5-10 mph. Highs will top out around 70° this afternoon with a few isolated showers possible late in the day. Skies will be cloudy tonight as scattered showers develop. Lows should be a few degrees warmer compared to this morning, dropping into the low/mid 50s.
We'll stay cloudy on Thursday with occasional rain showers. The heaviest rain should stay closer to the Gulf coast and west of the Valley. But, locally those showers could become steady at times.
It will be a cooler day with an east wind and highs in the mid 60s. The clouds should continue into Friday as will a chance for isolated rain showers. Highs should stay in the mid 60s.
The unsettled weather pattern should begin to break down for the weekend. Some cloud cover may linger into Saturday, but the rain should be gone. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 70s.
