HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

One of Huntsville's own came home Sunday to meet and greet friends, family, and Crimson Tide fans.

Reggie Ragland signed autographs at Furniture Factory Bar and Grill. He brought along his former Alabama teammate Jarran Reed as well.

Ragland actually was scheduled to leave the signing and hop on a plane and head to Los Angeles to meet with the Rams as the NFL Draft is right around the corner April 28.

For Reggie, It's always great to come back home.

"As a kid, I dreamed about it," Ragland said Sunday. "The opportunities I've gotten, I've fulfilled them.”

He added, “As a kid I always thought that I would be here. I'm thankful and blessed that I've been in a position to do what I'm doing now. Thanks to my mom and my dad, and the people that have helped me.”

Ragland is projected as a first round draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Ragland and his family will head to Chicago to attend the draft night festivities.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
