Lawmakers consider Governor Bentley impeachment

(WAFF) - Good morning everyone! Trent Butler here. The morning team is a little sore and moving slowly after we ran in Sunday's NCAC Superheroes 5K in Huntsville. Yet, that won't stop us from delivering the latest news to you.

One man is recovering after Huntsville police say he was hurt in a drive-by shooting.  We'll tell you where the shooting happened and give you an update on the man who was shot.

Governor Bentley will be in North Alabama today to visit the Limestone Correctional Facility. It's part of his push to pass prison reform legislation to help ease overcrowding.

The Governor is trying to push his agenda despite a cloud of controversy surrounding a cheating scandal involving a former advisor.
State lawmakers are expected to talk about the possibility of impeaching the Governor when they return to Montgomery on Tuesday.

Investigators will spend today trying to figure out how a train crashed into a backhoe near Philadelphia killing two and leaving more than 30 people injured. You'll hear from passengers who survived the derailment.

Plus, we'll preview tonight's college basketball championship game featuring North Carolina and Villanova. David Ernst, who was known for his ability to hit three pointers in the clutch during his high school days, will be along to share a sunny forecast.
