FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cloudy skies with temperatures topping out at 70°

(WAFF) - Temperatures are mild this morning, and we're starting the day in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Skies are clearing out this morning and mostly sunny conditions can be expected for a time. Eventually the clouds fill back in this afternoon, and we should finish the day mostly cloudy.

Winds will be out of the west at 5-10 mph. Highs should top out around 70° this afternoon. The clouds continue tonight and scattered rain showers are possible this evening and overnight. Skies should begin to clear by sunrise Saturday, and it will be cooler. Lows should drop into the mid 40s to begin the day.

You can expect mostly sunny skies for Saturday afternoon. It will be a cooler day, though, with highs limited to the low/mid 60s. The wind should also be a little stronger out of the northwest at 10-15 mph. Skies will be clear overnight, and lows should drop to around 40.

We'll see plenty of sunshine for Sunday afternoon and highs should warm into the upper 60s. Lows will run in the mid 40s for the first few nights of next week.

We should warm to near 70° for a high Monday, but a weak cold front comes in overnight and will knock highs down into the mid 60s for Tuesday. We'll be back to around 70° for Wednesday afternoon with isolated rain showers possible.

A stronger cold front should bring more widespread rain and a chance for storms to the Valley on Thursday. It's possible we could be cool enough for frost by the end of next week.
