HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Pat Coats was having her Madison County home remodeled when her sterling silver set, Angelique by International, was stolen.

"It has sentimental value to me. It has no sentimental value to them," said Coats.

The 50-year-old pieces have the letter "C" monogrammed in the handles.

The set includes an engraved cake knife which is very easy to spot.

"This was a wedding gift and we just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary," said Coats.

It's a family heirloom, meant to be passed on to her children. So it's the sentimental value that can't be replaced.

One of the contractors working on her home was arrested and charged with the crime, but investigators said he sold the silver set to Joe's Pawn Shop in Albertville.

The owner, Joe Campbell, said the set has since been sold, but he doesn't know who bought it.

The Coats family are offering a $3,000 reward for the anonymous return of the items, in addition to the up to $1,000 reward by Crime Stoppers.

Campbell said whoever bought it would be a fool not to turn it in for the money.

The set is worth nowhere near $4,000.

"I just hope somebody is honest and comes forward," said Coats.

You've committed no crime but you still stand to gain up to $4,000.
