FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Let the good times continue within the UNA Lions softball program.

The Lions are on a school record with a 15 game winning streak and they are 32-4 on the season. They are in a tie for first place in the Gulf South Conference.

The Lions jumped to number four in the country Wednesday in the latest NFCA coaches poll. It's the highest ranking in school history.

Courtney Shields was also named the GSC's Player of the Week after a nine for 15 at the plate with two doubles and a homerun.

The Lions host Delta State this weekend with sole possession of first place in the Gulf South Conference on the line.

A doubleheader set for Saturday begins at 2 p.m., with the series finale set for1 p.m. on Sunday.
